- ROTH, Mildred Ann Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, March 30, 2018 at her residence. Mildred was born 76 years ago in Kitchener, Ontario, a daughter of the late Isaiah and Marian Gingerich. Beloved wife and best friend of Lloyd "Sam" Roth. Cherished mother to Andrew Roth and his wife Jennifer Helmuth. Loving grandmother to Samuel Roth. Mildred is survived by her brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Stanley and Marie Gingerich, Catherine and John Rudy, Margaret and Ken Ruby, Edith Gingerich, Stephen and Sharon Gingerich, Mildred Roth, Anna Maschke, Leola Roth, Gordon and Carol Roth, Ruth and Bruce Steinmann as well as by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Jean and Harold Schultz, Albert Maschke and Elmer Roth. Mildred was a teacher for 35 years and a life long learner. She was an active volunteer who served on numerous boards and supported female leadership in the Mennonite church and broader community. Her pioneering spirit, zest for life, gracious friendship and commitment to peace and justice enriched those around her and will live on for years to come. Family and friends are invited to a time of visiting at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, TODAY Monday, April 2, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden. where pastors Myrna Miller-Dyck and Steve Drudge will officiate. Interment in Steinmann Mennonite Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations would be appreciated to Interfaith Counselling, Shalom Counselling or MEDA Mennonite Economic Development Association.
