    • Mrs. Margaret "Marg" Vera McComb age 88 years, a resident of Chartwell Select and formerly of Amethyst Harbour passed away at the T.B.R.H.S.C on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Born and raised in Kitchener, ON, Marg attended the University of Toronto where she received her Commerce Degree at the top of her class. During her studies at U of T she met the love of her life Cedric McComb who was attending the School of Dentistry. They married in 1946 and immediately moved to the Lakehead where they enjoyed nearly 58 years together until Ced's passing in 2004. Marg was an active person who believed in living a healthy lifestyle. She loved to play bridge and also enjoyed gardening, fishing and boating on Lake Superior. She especially loved the many years that she & Ced were able to spend together in the home they built together at the lake. Her family was always her main priority but once her girls were grown, Marg managed Ced's office until their retirement. Marg was known for her wonderful smile & was still receiving compliments on it right up to her passing. Marg was a devoted wife and loving and supportive mother and grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Barb (Brian) Renken, Julie (Bob) Mitchell, Sally (Jim) Danis, and her grandchildren: Andrew (Renee) and Kayla Renken & Jillian and Christian Danis. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Cedric McComb, daughter Lynn Lechow, parents Walter and Vera Strahl and brother Harold Strahl. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:30 am in the Chapel of Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Lloyd Ivany presiding. A private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com."
