- John Cressman, "was born January 30th, 1824. On February 7th, 1843, he was married to Magdalena Bowman who was born September 30th, 1822, and died June 2nd, 1884. Soon after their marriage they moved about two miles east of Berlin, on the farm now owned by their son, Cyrus. Here they both died. His death took place February 4th, 1858. To them were born four children"
