- Noah Cressman, "was born March 6th, 1837. He was a chemist and druggist and resided in the town of Waterloo where he died October 5th, 1864. He was married to Alvirah Whiting. To them was born a son named VI Alvin who resides in the city of Brantford where he is engaged in the mercantile business."

Noah Cressman, was born in Waterloo twp., in 1837. When he was 3, his father died. Five years later, his mother married Jacob Allbright, Niagara District, and the family moved there. At age 15, he left home, and soon obtained employement as a teacher. Later, he opened a telegraph office and drug establishment in Waterloo, with a branch in Stratford. In July 1862, he married the youngest daughter of Rev. M. Whiting. he died in Waterloo Village, Sept 5, 1864; survived by his wife and an infant.
