  Elizabeth Cressman, "was born February 13th, 1842. On March 10th, 1863, she was married to Absalom Snyder who was born September 2nd, 1841. They resided near Breslau on his father's old place. To them were born two children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________________ Snyder. - Elizabeth Cressman was born near New Hamburg, Ont., Feb. 13, 1842; died at her home near Breslau on Dec. 2, 1917; aged 75 y. 9 m. 19 d. On March 10, 1863, she was united in marriage to Absalom C. Snyder, who preceded her in death over four years ago.She leaves to mourn her departure 1 son, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, besides a large number of relatives and friends. Sister Snyder was a faithful and active member of the Mennonite Church at Breslau, the greater part of her life. She was well known for her kindness to those in need, and was intensely interested in the spiritual welfare of those that she befriended. But her interest in the Lord's cause was not confined to her home community alone. Many are the testimonies that might be given by those who came from other parts of the United States and Canada, who not only enjoyed her hospitality, but were also encouraged to be faithful in the Master's work. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Bro. J. S. Woolner, and at the church by Bros. Jonas Snyder and Oscar Burkholder.
