- CURRIE, DONALD
Suddenly, while on a visit to Toronto, on Monday, May 13, 1935, in his 69th year. He and Lewis Evans took a load of cattle to the stock yards early in the morning. The cattle were just unloaded, when Mr. Currie passed away from a heart attack. Owing to his death occurring in a public place, a coroner was called , who attributed his death to coronary thrombosis. Mr. Currie was born in Erin Township and lived there until some fourteen years ago, when he came to this district. He was twice married, his first wife predeceasing him some years ago. Survived by his wife, Nellie Bigbie, a brother, Lachlan Currie and a nephew, Albert Currie. The funeral, from his residence in Puslinch Township, near Hespeler, on Wednesday at 2 to Acton Cemetery, was largely attended. Rev. J. W. Hunt of the Hespeler United Church and Rev. Heimrich of Guelph conducted the services. Pallbearers: William McArthur and James McLean of Erin Township; John Grieve, Sam Meek, Gordon Sault and Walter Holm of Puslinch Township.
