Word has been received here (Hespeler) by relatives, of the death of Mr. Devine of Cottam in Essex County, which took place at Pincher Creek, AB on May 21, 1917. He had been in failing health for some time and with the hope of being benefited, left for the west to spend several months vacation. His condition became worse and he was unable to return before the end came. He was well known here, having lived on the 1st concession of Puslinch for a number of years and later owned a farm in Guelph Township. Several years ago, he moved to Essex County and engaged extensively in droving and stock raising. His body was brought to Hespeler for interment.
