      The oldest resident of this vicinity, in the person of Leah Baer, widow of the late S: G. Ellenbaum, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Miller, on Sunday night. having reached. the great age of 90 years and 3 months The deceased was well known by the older residents of this section, where she spent her early life, but for many years was a resident of Michigan A few years ago she returned to town. The remains were conveyed to their last resting place. Bronson Line Cemetery, on Wednesday afternoon and were followed by a large number of relatives and friends.

      Among those who attended the funeral from a distance, were Messrs. Samuel and Daniel Ellenbaum her sons, and their wives, of Pigeon, Mrs. Oliver Baker. of Galt. her daughter; and Mrs. Wm Finkbeiner of Milverton a grand child. Mrs John Schluchter, a daughter, and Mr. David Ellenbaum a son both of Cavalier, N. D. were unable to attend. The late Mrs. D. 8. Faust and Mrs. C Miller; are the other members of the family.

      ELLENBAUM - Leah Ellenbaum, nee Baer, was born, May 27, 1820, and died in the full assurance of Christian faith, Sept. 11, 1910, in Zurich, Ont. In 1836, she united in marriage with Samuel Ellenbaum; this union was blessed with 9 children, of whom 2 preceded her to the spirit. world. Father Ellenbaum died in 1882, after which Mother Ellenbaum left her old home in Hay Township, and made her home with her children and friends. Mother Ellenbaum was converted in her youth. In her Christian life she was a true mother in Israel. Through her loving ways and amiable character she made many friends. She leaves 4 sons, 3 daughters, 45 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. A. D. GISCHLER.
