  Tschirhart, Ruth (nee Burkholder): Passed over to the Lord's loving embrace on Wednesday January 14, 2009 at the age of 82. Loving wife of the late Joseph Tschirhart (1989). Devoted mother of Guy (Marion) of Kitchener and Tim of Yellowknife. Cherished grandma of Janine, Holly and Miranda. Predeceased by parents Harvey and Adele, daughter-in-law Virginia Richardson, sisters Irene Hofstetter and Bonnie Kenyon and brother Robert Burkholder. As a young woman, Ruth was a champion swimmer at the Woodside Municipal Pool. She enjoyed tending to her outdoor gardens, was a fantastic cook and most importantly, Ruth was a doting grandmother. Cremation has taken place. Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends at a memorial visitation from 2- 5 PM on Saturday January 17, 2009 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Sunnyside Nursing Home, Jennifer Carey (Ruth's personal support worker), Helen Schumacher (Volunteer at Sunnyside Home) and Joan Kenyon (niece) for all your warm friendships during Ruth's final days.
