  Obituary - New Hamburg Independent, February 3, 1933 Mrs. Alice Urquhart Died in Toronto The sad news was received here on Monday forenoon announcing the death of Mrs. Alice Urquhart, sister of the Misses Ernst and Mrs. Rebelski, of this town. She had been ill only a few days with an attack of heart trouble. Her condition was not considered dangerous by the attending physician, but she passed away and was found dead in bed on Monday morning by another member of the household. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ernst of this town. She was born in Baden but spent her girlhood days in New Hamburg where she was highly esteemed and beloved. After her marriage to James Urquhart she resided for some years in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her husband predeceased her twenty-four years ago and for the past twenty-two years she had charge of the household of Dr. Cummings at 3 Queen's Park in Toronto where she passed away. The deceased leaves four sisters and one brother to mourn her passing. They are: Mrs. Sophia Merner, of Waterloo, Mrs. Agnes Rebelski and Misses Minnie and Marion Ernst of this town, and Mr. Wm. Ernst, of Toronto. The remains were brought to her sister's home here on Tuesday where the funeral service was held on Thursday afternoon by Rev. Mr. Erdman, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and was attended by many relatives and friends. Internment followed in Riverside Cemetery.
