On Sunday, February 9, 1997, at St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Rose (1996), dear father of Rev. Richard McTavish and his wife Joan of Walkerton, William McTavish and his wife Joanne of Fergus and Ellen Clutton and her husband Keith of Stratford. Lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren Duncan McTavish, Cameron McTavish, Linda Vorsteveld, Mary Ellen Wren, David Clutton, Douglas Clutton, Marjorie Rooke, Heather Clayton and Debi Bowles and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, James and Jeanne McTavish, 2 brothers George and James, and 2 sisters Elenore and Margaret. Mr. McTavish was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to Canada, in 1908. He was the owner of McTavish Barber Shop for 50 years, retiring 20 years ago. The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Wednesday, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral and Committal Services will be conducted at King Street Baptist Church, 361 King Street East, Cambridge, on Thursday, February 13, 1997, at 2: 00 p.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau.
