      Impressive Services Conducted For Former Resident of Morriston

      Following an illness of nearly seven months, early Thursday morning, May 28, 1931, at her residence, 106 Forest St. in Guelph, in her 70th year. Wife of John M. Frey. She was a daughter of the late Christian Morlock, was born at Morriston on October 3, 1861 and lived there nearly all her life. In 1914, she with her husband moved to Guelph Twp. and later, to Forest St., where she resided until her death. She leaves to mourn her loss, beside her husband, one son, Christian N. in Vancouver; two daughters, Melinda, at home; and Mrs. J. H. Borthwick of Guelph. Two daughters predeceased her, Miss Lydia in 1908 and Mrs. A. B. Falconbridge in 1930. The funeral on Sat., May 20th at 3 was largely attended. The service at the house was conducted by Rev. J. H. Grenzebach of the Evangelical Church in Morriston, of which she was a faithful member. He choose his text from 2nd Corinthians 5: 1. He also referred to the life and Christian character of Mrs. Frey, who was a loving wife and kind mother. "Alas and Did My Saviour Bleed", a hymn Mrs. Frey requested, was beautifully rendered. Mrs. Weekes, Mrs. Kitchen and Mrs. Winer sang "The City Four Square". Pallbearers: Daniel McFarlane, Rueben Monkhouse, George Gibson, Louis Rappolt, Arkell Falconbridge and John Borthwick. Interment Crown Cemetery, Puslinch.
