Notes - GARDNER, Hazel - Passed away in her sleep, at St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Hazel (nee Hadfield) Gardner, in her 98th year, was the beloved wife of the late Jim Gardner (March 16, 1996). She was the loving mother of Herbert of Cambridge, Meryle Frketich of Kirkwall, and Marion Donaldson and her husband Orvil of Harcourt. Hazel was the dear mother-in-law of Heather of Cambridge. She is fondly remembered by nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hazel is survived by her sisters, Hilda, Nona, Nettie, Betty, and Phyllis. She was predeceased by her son, Albert (2008); by her son-in-law, Bill Frketich (2008); by two sisters, Edna and Mary; and by two brothers, Stan and Chuck. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, Hespeler would be appreciated by the family.
