  MAN THREATENS TO COMMIT SUICIDE ON HYDRO LINE C. F. Wilhelm of Kitchener Given His Freedom After Being Warned of the Seriousness of Making a Threat. In Kitchener police court on Friday, C. F. Wilhelm, who wrote a communication to the Ontario Hydro Electric Commission, threatening to commit suicide on a high power transmission wire unless he was given a position as linesman's beginning, was given his liberty. He assured the Magistrate that there was no danger of him carrying out the threat, he only wanting to make sure that his letter would receive attention. He was advised to secure work, after it was pointed out to him that a charge of writing a threatening letter and also one of threatening to commit suicide could be laid against him. Waterloo Chronicle
