Notes |
- MILLER, James Clare "Jim" Surrounded by family at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, November 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 58. Cherished husband of Marlene (nee Ritchie) of 33 years. Loving father of Ryan (Megan), Ethan, Justin (Natalee) and "extended son" Mike. Jim will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and by his many nieces and nephews. Also sadly missed by Uncle Stan, and Aunts Connie and Becky. Predeceased by his parents Clare and Joy and by his much loved sister Marion. Jim was a highly respected collector and purveyor of vintage art, classic automobiles and fine antiques. His circle of business acquaintances became his family of friends. Jim's passion for history was shown through several preservation initiatives in his community. A special thank you to the staff at Stratford General Hospital for all of their compassionate care and support. Family and friends will be received at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Steinman Mennonite Church, 1316 Snyder's Rd. W., Baden on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Knowles officiating. Interment in Fairmount Cemetery, Baden. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. James Lutheran Church (Baden), Stratford General Hospital Foundation for the cancer unit or the Hospice of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-888-7700.
