  • Notes
    • Timothy Robert Ramseyer was born in Kitchener, Ontario Canada on 1st October 1952 to Armand and Hilda Ramseyer. Tim was the youngest of 6 siblings, Bud, Janet, Paul, John, Beth and Tim in a loving Christian family. Tim's dad Armand was a preacher and the family moved to the USA when Tim was 2 years old, first to Massachusetts then latterly to Concord, California.

Tim was a typical preacher's kid when he was growing up and developed a mischievous nature. His sister Beth said Tim was always on one end or the other of a practical joke. One of the perks of being a preachers son was that Tim got to swim in the baptismal tank whenever he pleased.

Tim graduated from Mount Diablo High School, California. He was industrious and always on the go which was typical of Tim. Tim went to college in Seattle to study for his welding certificates which lead him to Scotland where he completed his diving training and became a fully fledged Saturation Welder Diver. Tim stayed in Scotland to work with Subsea for the rest of his working life.

It was at a Country & Western night at the salubrious surroundings of the Holiday Inn in Dyce that Tim met Helen. Their relationship blossomed and the married a few years later. Tim was a devoted husband to Helen and a loving father to Clare and Ken. Family life was always fun with the Ramseyer's and they travelled all over the world on their holidays. Tim was a loving father-in-law to Ruth and James and very much devoted hands-on Papa with his five grandchildren Alexander, Calum, Lois, Mark and Jamie.

Tim is a huge loss to his family and friends but our cherished memories of Tim will live in our hearts forever.
