  Charged in Theft SARNIA-Charles Kenneth Dale, 43, of Brantford, has been arrested by Haileybury provincial police on charges of theft of a car from Orval J. Sieling, 319 Davis street, July 3. Detective Rex Hovey left this morning for Haileybury to bring the prisoner back to Sarnia, where he will stand trial on the charge. 11 Jul 1952 _______________ Dale Given the 2-Year Term the SARNIA-Charles Kenneth Dale, 42, who has spent much of race his life in prison, was sentenced to two years in penitentiary when he was convicted of car 10.30 theft in Magistrate J. C. Dunlap's court this morning. A notorious jail breaker, Dale also received a year consecutive for unlawfully escaping custody. Two other convictions, for steal auto licence plates and having stolen goods in his possession, drew him two additional six-month consecutive sentences. __________ Made Escape Charles Kenneth Dale, alias Cliff Charles, who escaped from custody of Detective Rex Hovey near Aurora on Sunday morning, is being sought by police. Dale, who was being returned to Sarnia from Haileybury to stand trial on a car theft charge, escaped by jumping through a washroom window on a slow moving train. Dale was serving a sentence at Haileybury on a liquor count.
