  REIST, George William - Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 27th 2005 at The Village of Winston Park in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Agnes Reist (nee Baird) for 59 years. George is survived by sisters-in-law, Isabel Hallman and Hazel Baird and brother-in-law, Harold Junker. He will also be fondly and lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret Reist (Mitchell); sisters, Elizabeth Junker and Laura Reist; sisters and brothers-in-law, Russell Hallman, Robert and Jean Baird, Faith and Fred Neudoerffer, Ruth Baird, Tom Baird, Jean and John Cox, Margaret and Ken Smith. George resided on Reistview Jersey Farm in the Williamsburg Area from childhood to retirement. A sportsman all his life, George hunted, fished, played baseball and was an avid curler. Later when he could no longer participate he could be seen at local arenas and ball diamonds simply enjoying the games. Everybody loved being with George, he could talk with confidence on any topic and his keen sense of wit always made people smile. Friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount), 743-8900, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. Spring Interment to follow in Chesterfield Cemetery, Plattsville. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew's Church TV Ministry, the Village of Winston Park Memorial Fund or the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff of the Village of Winston Park and the staff of the Special Care Unit. Special thanks also to Joan and Vern Tarbutt, Ruth Hallman and the Ron Bell Family for all their love and support
