    • QUINN, JAMES STAFFORD his card was in the Berliner journal on April 26, 1911 in the Preston News:

Dr. J. S. Quinn has come here from Tweed and opened an office in the Kleinstauber block.

His obituary in the Galt Evening Reporter on May 25, 1926 gives his story:

In the death of Dr. James Stafford Quinn which occurred at his home on Duke Street on Saturday, (May 22), the town of Preston has suffered the loss of a good and loyal citizen, and one of the most highly respected men in the medical profession. Although the deceased had been in poor health for over a year, he bore his sufferings with so much patience that even his most intimate friends did not realize that the end was so near.

The late Dr. Quinn was born at Tweed, Ont. on the 5th. day of April 1886. He was educated at Tweed separate school, Regiopolis College, and Queen's University, Kingston, from which he graduated in 1909. He came to Preston in 1911, and opened an office in the Kleinstuber block, King Street, This however soon proved inadequate for his large and growing practice and so in 1916 he purchased the residence of the late Joseph Roth, where he he continued to practice his profession until his death.

In November 1917 he was married to Mae Mcllroy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McIlroy, Gravenhurst, by whom he is survived, he also leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Quinn, of Tweed, and three brothers and four sisters.
