Peacefully passed after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Grand River Hospital - Kitchener, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Geffros) of 40 years. Loving father of Jeff, Trevor (Kim) and Stephanie. Cherished grandpa / poppa of Tyler and Tanner, Seth and Hunter, Davis, Ashlynn and Parker. Dear brother of Rodney (Marilyn).
Dear son of the late Jack and Lillie Riehl. Predeceased by his sister, Jacalyn Hebden.
Bob traveled internationally as a salesperson with Kromet International. He was a Canadian Junior Horseshoe Champion, an inductee into the Canadian Horseshoe Hall of Fame and was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Bob's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
