      Preston -- Mrs. William E. Pautler of 567 Moore St., died at her residence today after a lengthy illness.

      Born at Mildmay, Ont., she came to Preston about 60 years ago. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, Catholic Women's League, the Altar Society, the Legion of Mary, the League of the Sacred Heart and the scout and guides mother auxiliary.

      rs. Pautler was predeceased by her husband 10 years ago. Surviving are four sons, Joseph, Jerome, Gerald and Norbert, all of Preston, three daughters Rev. Sister Imelda (Marie) and Rev. Sister M. Rose (Bernice), both of Hamilton and Rev. Sister Norbert (Eileen) of Kitchener. One daughter, Helen, predeceased her mother in 1928. Mrs. Pautler is predeceased by serveral bothers and sisters. There are 11 grandchildren. The body will be at the Maurice O'Brien Funeral Home until 9.30 a.m., Wednesday, when removal will be made to St. Clement's Church for celebration of requiem high mass at 10 a.m.

      Recital of the parish rosary will be heard at 8 p.m., Tuesday and of the Knights of Columbus and the scouts and guides auxiliary rosary at 9.30 p.m., the same day. Burial will be in St. Clement's Cemetery.
