Passed away at home, following a brief illness on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the age of 95 years.
Dwight is survived by his three children, Barbara Kellerman, Linda (Mike) Lowry and Ron Kellerman (Lori Squires), grandchildren Eric (Leah), Heather (Carter), Shawn (Pamela) and great-grandchildren Makani, Isabella and Adrianna. He is also survived by his sister Lottie Lederman, sister-in-law Ruth Neeb and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years Hilda in 2002, daughter Dorothy Kellerman, sisters Ellen Kellerman, Jean Kellerman, brother-in-law Robert Lederman, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; Margaret and Stanley Mason and Lloyd Neeb as well as his parents Rev. Dr. H.A. and Esther Kellerman.
Dwight was born in Pelham Centre, Ontario. He graduated from Waterloo College in 1937 and met and married Hilda in 1942. Dwight served Canada during the Second World War and worked with Mutual Life of Canada where he retired as a Senior Underwriter after 42 years. He was a charter member of the Waterloo Laurel Kiwanis Club and a long-time member of Calvary Memorial United Church, Kitchener.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Dwight with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Calvary Memorial United Church, 91 Gruhn Street, Kitchener on Friday, June 3 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Lynne Bandy officiating. A fellowship will follow the service in the Church Hall. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo following the reception.
