    • QUEHL, Mary Ann (nee Bender) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Don Quehl in 1991. Sadly, missed and most loved and devoted mother of son Greg and his wife Val of Linwood and grandchildren, Brendan, Taryn and Lauren. She will be forever remembered by her brother Chuck Bender (Liz), and sisters Kathy Dietrich (Brian), Chris Gaudet (Rick), sisters-in-law Bernice Bender, Eileen Quehl, Gert and Bill Gies, also by her many nieces and nephews and to them she was well known as "Aunt Mare", also by many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ed Bender (1984) and Florence Bender (nee Fischer) (2003) and brother Doug Bender (2011). Our Mom and Grandma thoroughly enjoyed cheering on her family at many hockey, baseball, ringette and soccer games. Mom kept herself very busy baking, cooking, gardening, knitting, reading, also doing volunteer work and helping people where needed. A member of CWL and Prayer Shawl Ministry. A Mother You can only have one mother, patient, kind and true, No other friends in all the world will be so true to you, For all her loving kindness she asks nothing in return, To those who have a mother, treasure her with care. For you'll never know her value, till you see her vacant knitting chair.
