  COOK, Gordon C. - Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, (Oct 6, 2005) -- COOK, Gordon C. - Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton, Gordon was formerly of RR 1, Gadshill. He was born in North Easthope Township, 92 years ago. Son of the late Levi Cook and the late Christina Diehl. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in North Easthope and was an avid hunter. Gordon was a painter and decorator retiring in 1978. Beloved husband of Norma (Stever) Cook of Milverton; dear father of George and his wife Carol Cook of New Hamburg, Ken and his wife Shirley Cook of Dorchester and Shirley and her husband Roy Alcock of Port Elgin. Dear brother of Edna Hoerle of Tavistock. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jim and Cossandra, Kelly and Grant, Shane and Kyle, and Connie and Jason. Great-grandpa of Samson. Predeceased by one son, Robert Cook, 1994; grandson, Kevin Alcock; four brothers, George, William, Cossie and Eldon; by two sisters, Bertha and Beatrice; and by a brother-in-law, Reinhardt Hoerle. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St., in Wellesley, where family and friends will be received today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from St. James Lutheran Church, North East Hope, on Friday, October 7, 2005, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Patricia Jackson will officiate. Memorials to Knollcrest Lodge or to St. James Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.4
