    • MARION JOYCE RADDATZ (nee Pflug) 1939 - 2008 Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at St. Mary's General Hospital Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Ronald for 49 years. Loving mother of Lynda (Rickert) of London, David of Oakville and Darrin of Toronto. Special grandmother and Number One cookie maker to Emma, Cameron, Madeline and Daniel. She is survived by brothers, Robert of Lefaivre and Donald of Minden. Predeceased by father, Lorne; mother, Edith and brother, Douglas. Faithful member of Olivet United Church where she served as a member of the choir and UCW. Until her retirement she was employed by The Bell Canada Phonecentre. She was a foster mother to many, with special feelings for Chris. She was a free spirit with many friends who was always willing to offer a helping hand. She fought with faith and courage as she battled Amyloidosis. Marion's family extends a special thank you to Rev. Randy Banks of Olivet United Church and the many health care professionals who cared for her during her illness. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Olivet United Church, 47 Onward Ave. Kitchener at 11 a. m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. Rev. Randy Banks officiating. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marion's name to St. Mary's General Hospital Intensive Care Unit, The Canadian Amyloidosis Support Network (CASN), or Olivet United Church - Building Fund by calling the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 519-749-8467.
