      Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Innisfree House (Hospice), Kitchener, at the age of 77 years. Joan (Goodwin) Brown was the beloved wife of Elmer Brown for 60 years. Loved mother of Deborah (Grant) Gould, Kathyrn Lichty, and Brad (Julie) Brown. Loving grandmother of Meghann (Seth), Lindsay (Michael), Brittany (Kyle), Nicole, Kayla, Brandon, and Cameron, and six great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Grace Oberle and Judy (Ron) Thibodeau. She was predeceased by her parents Ernie and Olive (Schneider) Goodwin. Joan worked for Ontario Seed for 20 years. She sang with "The Browns", a local family band which played country music in the area for over 20 years. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Erbsville with Pastors Olaf Poulsen and Fred Ludolph officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, after which everyone is invited to a reception in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville, St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, or St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Erbsville, would be appreciated. Special thanks to the visiting nurses and doctors on the Palliative Care Team for making it possible for Joan to stay in her home.
