  Mrs. Blanche Thomas PRESTON, Mrs. Blanche H. Thomas, formerly a resident at Fairview Mennonite Home, Preston, died Wednesday, at Freeport Hospital. She was 82. Mrs. Thomas was the former Blanche Waugh and was born at Lion's Head. She had resided here for 15 years and prior to that had lived in Ayr and London, Ont. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and of the Sunday school Golden Rule Bible class, also a member of the local senior citizens group. Surviving are two sons, Herbert of Mica Creek, B.C. and Donnell H. of Preston; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Firman of Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where the funeral and committal services will be conducted, Saturday, at 2 p.m. Interment will he in Mountview cemetery, Galt.
