    • John E. Detweiler

      John Edgar Detweiler, 85, of 60 Homewood Ave., died yesterday of a heart attack. He had been suffering from a heart condition for some time. Born in Blair on July 17, 1881, he was a son of the late Samuel S. Detweiler and Emma Knutsen. He was employed as a shipper at the Cluett-Peabody and Co. of Canada Ltd. Mr. Detweiler was a past master of the Twin City A.F. and A.M. and a member of the Kitchener chapter of R.A.M. His wife, the former Stella McCormack, predeceased him in 1932. Surviving are two sons, Jack McCormack Detweiler of New York and James of Kitchener, two brothers, Dr. H. K. Detweiler of Toronto, and James of Victoria, B.C.; also three sisters, Mrs. Grace Shearer and Miss Margert Detweiler of Kitchener and Mrs. C. D. Reid of Victoria, B.C. Remains are resting at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements. Burial will be made in Preston Cemetery.
