      A former resident of New Hamburg, Alvin H. Daub, of Kitchener died April 2 at K-W Hospital in Kitchener following a heart attack. He was 64.

      Born In Amulree, North Easthope Township, Jan. 29, 1904, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Daub and had lived in the Twin Cities for the past 28 years. He was a foreman at the Waterloo Manufacturing Co. where he had been employed for the past 28 years. Mr. Daub was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church men.

      Surviving are his wife, the former Lulu Roeder whom he married June 19, 1937, in North Easthope Township; one son, Mervin A. C. of Chicago; one brother, Clarence of Waterloo, and one sister, Mrs. Vera Cook of Kitchener. He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

      The Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home was in charge, and the funeral service was held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo Friday afternoon, with Rev. A.L. Conrad officiating. Burial was in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, North Easthope Township.
