  Leona Beatrice Steinman died peacefully at Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Ontario on Sat., Sept. 23, in her 88th year. Friends and relatives were received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon and evening. The funeral service was held on Wed., Sept. 27 at the Steinman Mennonite Church followed by burial in the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of your choice. Surviving Mrs. Steinman are two sons, Donald and his wife, Alie of Albany, Kentucky and Robert and his wife, Heather of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Two grandsons, Michael and Marc also of Colorado Springs and one brother, Merle Lehman of Croghan, New York. She was pre-deceased by seven brothers; Andrew, Ezra, Vernon, Seth, Arlon, Kenneth and Stanley. Born in Croghan, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Lehman. She was a member of the Steinman Mennonite Church, Baden, Ontario. She married Lloyd Victor Steinman on October 11, 1939 who pre-deceased her on June 27, 1985. For many years they lived an Waterloo Street in New Hamburg and retired to the Nithview Apartments in 1981. ______________ Leona L. Steinman Croghan Native CROGHAN Leona Beatrice Lehman Steinman, 88, Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Ontario, formerly of Croghan, died Saturday at the nursing home. Born Jan. 10, 1912, in Croghan, she was a daughter of Andrew and Anna Zehr Lehman. She married Lloyd Victor Steinman on Oct. 11, 1939, in the Amish Mennonite Church, Croghan, with the Rev. Jacob Gingerich officiating. Mr. Steinman died June 27, 1985. Mrs. Steinman was a member of the Steinman Mennonite Church, Baden, Ontario. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Donald and Alie, Albany, Ky., and Robert and Heather, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Merle Lehman, Croghan; and two grandsons. Seven brothers, Andrew, Ezra, Vernon, Seth, Arlon, Kenneth and Stanley Lehman, died before her. The funeral was Sept. 27 at Steinman Mennonite Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements were with Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or a charity of one's choice.
