    • Jacob Z. Detweiler," was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, January 17th, 1820. He was married to Hannah Schlichter. They resided on a farm in the township of Waterloo, three miles south-west of Blair until shortly before his death when they moved to Berlin. He died March 16th, 1880. On October 12th, 1893 she was married to her second husband, Christian D. Rosenberger. The family of Jacob and Hannah Detweiler consisted of seven children"

      His log cabin that he built on the east part of Lot BNS4 west of Blair was given by the Caryndale congregation to the Ontario Pioneer Community Foundation in the early 1970's, the restored cabin is now the weaver's shop at Doon Heritage Crossroads in Kitchener.
