- Drudge, Benjamin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Drudge, was born at Markham, Ont., Aug. 14, 1887; died suddenly at his home near Bridgeport, Ont., Nov. 29, 1961; aged 74 y. 8 m. 15 d. On March 11, 1914, he was married to Barbara Shirk, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Elvin and Raymond), 3 daughters (Ruth-Mrs. Harold Golbeck, Gladys-Mrs. Lloyd Indoe, and MIldred-Mrs. Erlis Schwartzendruber), 14 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was a member of the Erb Street Church, where funeral services were conducted by J. B. Martin

Benjamin Drudge
Benjamin Drudge, 74, of Bridgeport, died suddenly Wednesday at his home.
Born Aug. 14, 1887 in Markham, he came to Bridgeport 47 years ago. He was a member of Erb Street Mennonite Church, Waterloo, and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Drudge.
Surviving are his wife, the former Barbara Shirk, whom he married March 11, 1914; two sons, Elvin and Raymond of Bridgeport; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Golbeck and Mrs. Lloyd (Gladys) Indoe of Bridgeport and Mrs. Erlis (Mildred) Schwartzentruber of Petersburg; three brothers, Menno of Markham, John of Elmira and Levi of Stouffville, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday from Erb Street Mennonite Church, Waterloo, by Bishop J. B. Martin. Burial will be in Waterloo Mennonite Cemetery.
The body will be at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Saturday, when removal will be made to the church.

Drudge, Barbara, daughter of Peter and Susanna (Martin) Shirk, was born at Bridgeport, Ont., May 5, 1889; died at Waterloo, Ont., July 3, 1973; aged 84 y. 1 m. 28 d. On Mar. 11, 1914, she was married to Benjamin Drudge, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1961. Surviving are 2 sons (Elvin and Raymond), 3 daughters (Ruth Golbeck, Mildred Schwartzentruber, and Gladys Indoe), 15 grandchildren, and one sister (Lydia Snyder). She was a member of the Erb Street Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on July 6, in charge of Galen Johns; interment in Erb Street Cemetery.
