  Brown City, Dec. 30. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Brown City Methodist church for Mrs. Martha Detweiler, 81, who died Sunday at the Detweiler home. Rev. Frank M. Purdy was in charge with burial following in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Detweiler was the daughter of James and Elizabeth. Simpson, of Brantford, Ont., and was born March 23, 1855. She was married to Abel Detweiler 59 years ago. they came to Huron county in 1892 and to Brown City in 1904. Mr. Detweiler died Nov.14, 1929. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Edna Detweiler, at home; Mrs. P. J. Corbishley, Lansing and Mrs. O. G. Robertson, Sandusky. Five grandchildren are also living.
