    • LIVINGSTON, J. Douglas (Doug) - Doug Livingston passed away peacefully, at Meaford Long Term Care Centre, on January 27, 2009, in his 91st year. A long-time resident of Thornbury, he was born and raised in Baden, Ontario. He was predeceased by his much loved wife of more than fifty years, Kay of Old Windsor, England; his parents, Alex and Maude of Baden and his brothers, Ross and Earl and sister, Grace. Doug will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Livingston of Kitchener and Peggy Jones of Guildford, England and many nieces and nephews and their families. Doug was a veteran of the Second World War and a keen fisherman. He will be remembered as a kind, generous and gentle man. In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home , 48 Boucher Street East, Meaford, ON, N4L 1B9 (519-538-1320) to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
