Notes - FRIES, Shirley Ann Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Carl "Doug" for over 51 years. Loving mother of Kevin Fries (Lynne), Wendy Klassen (John), Tracey Reid (Dave). Proud Nana of Amanda (Vince), Danielle, Amanda, Sasha (Jason) and Eden and great-grand-mother of six. Dear sister of Donald Storer (late Gertrude), Ted Storer (Janet), Linda Norris (Andy) and Betty Dahms. Loving sister-in-law of Wilbert (Shirley), Elaine (late Howard), Phyllis (late Arlie), Joyce (Ronald), Earl (Jackie), Ross (Carla), Gary (late Lorraine) and the late Robert, Murray (May) and Harold (Shirley). Survived by sister-in-law Molly. Shirley's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:30-2:45 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel Friday at 3 p.m. Reception to follow. Heartfelt thank you to the Emergency Room Staff and Cancer Unit Staff at Grand River Hospital for their compassionate care. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the New Apostolic Church Foreign Extension Fund or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
