- CORMIER Dean James April 7th, 1960 to April 28th, 2002 Cancer robbed his body but never his Spirit. A true renaissance man, blessed with an extraordinary vocal talent and gifted as an advisor and confidant. Dean enjoyed, above all, spending time with his family. He loved and cherished his wife of twelve and a half years: Kate Kathleen King. Dean was a proud and devoted father to Skye and Nathanael. He loved his mother Muriel Hall and missed the presence of his father the late Leo Cormier 1963. As an only child, Dean was thrilled to become a brother-in-law and uncle to the King family. A life well lived and loved, he faced his illness with the same grace and peace that he faced all trials in his life. He never looked back over his life with shame, nor did he look up with arrogance or look around for someone to blame. He looked ahead, with his eyes focused on Christ, with dignity. Friends are invited to call at the CURRIE FUNERAL HOME, in Chatsworth for visitation on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., thence to the Salvation Army Citadel for visiting on Monday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., where a celebration of Deans service to God and his fellow man will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. In consideration of Skye and Nathanaels many friends who may wish to meet the family privately, they may do so on Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Major Charles Young will officiate. Interment, McLeans Cemetery, Bognor. If so desired, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Salvation Army Y.P. Music Department or the Canadian Cancer Society. "Meet you in the morning, my darling."
