- Albert Leach
PRESTON, Albert Leach 79, of 704 North St., Preston, died at his home last night, following a short illness. Mr. Leach was born in England. He came to Hespeler, in 1903 and to Preston, 1908. He was employed at the George Pattinson and Company Ltd., for 44 years, as a cloth finisher. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Canadian Order of Foresters and was a charter life member of the Preston Canadian Legion. Mr. Leach served overseas with the 111th Regiment, in the First World War. He was a former town councillor. Mr. and Mrs. Leach, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary two years ago. Surviving are his wife the former Annie Mills, one son Albert Fred of Clarkeston, Ont., one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Lillian) Rhodes of Elmira and four grandchildren. The body will be at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where the funeral will he conducted, Friday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery, Preston, Canon. R. T. Appleyard of St. John's Anglican Church, will officiate.
