  March 2 . Dr. Hugh MacDonell, 70, was a retired dentist and sports enthusiast. He was one of the founders of the Kitchener Sports Association which sparked the movement for the construction of the Kitchener Auditorium in 1944-45. Football was one of his major interests, having served as president of the Kitchener Intermediates and for several years as president of the Ontario Junior Rugby Football Union.
