    • Mrs. Catherine Pines

      Funeral service for Mrs. Catherine (Kate) Pines, RR 1, New Hamburg, who died at her home last Friday, were held Monday at Lingelbach United Church. Mrs. Pines, the widow of William Pines, was 95 years of age. She was born in North Easthope Township on September 12, 1873.

      She is survived by her twin sister, Mrs. Caroline Knechtel, New Hamburg and one brother, John Ruppert, North Dakota. Mrs. Pines was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg.

      Burial was in the Lingelbach United church cemetery.

      The Robert Krug Funeral Home, Tavistock, was in charge of arrangements.
