  Mary Gies APRIL 5, 1928 \endash MAY 17, 2016 Obituary of Mary Gies IN THE CARE OF Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre GIES, Mary (nee Fler) Passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side at the Nithview Long Term Nursing Centre on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Walter Gies (June 2002). Dear and cherished mother of John (Joanne), Dave (Gail), Nancy Brubacher (Jim) and Bob (Silvia). Lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren: Jeff (Tammy), Dana (Chris), Amy (Jeff), Ben (Sherry), Sara (Tim), Kenny, Kayla and friend Brad , Tony (Jamie), Rebecca, Missy and friend Derek, and 8 great grandchildren - Tatum, Charlotte, Calista, Josie, Jackson, Carter, Emmett, Cameron. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Suzanna Fler and brother Peter Fler. According to Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome relatives and friends for a Memorial Mass to celebrate her life at St. Agatha RC Church, 1839 Notre Dame Drive, St. Agatha on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Dan Lobsinger. Interment will be at the St. Agatha Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Church. Our deepest appreciation to all the caring staff at Nithview who took such good care of our Mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Agatha RC Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, Kitchener, (519-743-8900).
