- BINGEMAN, Robert - Passed away, on Sunday, November 16, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Robert resided in New Hamburg. He was born 79 years ago in New Hamburg and was the son of the late Lawrence and Wilhelmina (Forler) Bingeman. Beloved husband of Genoeva (Eros) Bingeman with who he celebrated 53 years of marriage. Dear father of Barry and wife Paula Bingeman of Thunder Bay and Kevin Bingeman and Kathy Shaw of Waterloo. Loving grandfather of Elise, Graham, Byron, Stephanie and Scott. Sadly missed by his sister Lorraine and husband Carl Schroeder of New Hamburg and sisters-in-law Leona Bingeman of New Hamburg, Giesela Bingeman of Waterloo, Mercedes Jablonski and brother-in-law Peter Eros both of Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his brothers Lawrence and Reginald. Robert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532 New Hamburg. Robert had served in the Canadian Army in the Second World War. He was also involved in the former New Hamburg Turf Club and had worked with the Agricultural Society in the Horse Racing Section. He enjoyed harness racing and golfing as hobbies. Robert had been employed with the MTC Roads Department for 26 years prior to his retirement. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Nadine Nicholds officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Legion Scholarship Fund or St. Mary's Hospital. A legion service will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
