  McLeod, Marie Josephine - Passed away peacefully, on Monday, January 19, 2004, at Forest Heights Long Term Care at 89 years of age. A former resident of Lanark Place, Kitchener, she and her husband owned and operated the Fox Theatre (King St. East, Kitchener) and the Reo Theatre (Elmira). Marie and her husband Bruce were avid boaters and resided in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In the 1980s, Marie and Bruce were active members of the Hamilton Yacht Club. Marie is survived by two brothers, Joseph, (Lenore) Anstett, Jerome (Betty) Anstett, both of Kitchener; two sisters, Eileen Anstett of Kitchener and Joan (Bev) Rankin of Port Elgin. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce McLeod; her parents, Amelia (Weber) and Joseph Anstett; four sisters, Leone Fink, Kathleen Anstett, Mildred Meyer and Rita King and one brother, Ken Anstett. Visitation will be at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, located at 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, on Tuesday (today, Jan. 20/04) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 9: 30 a.m. after which transfer will be made to the St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. with Father Michael King officiating. Interment at Woodlawn [Woodland?] Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
