  Welburn Jones was minister of Willowdale United Church Memorial services will be held this week in Toronto and Beamsville for Rev. A. Welburn Jones, former minister of Willowdale United Church and College St. United Church, who died Saturday. He was 72. Jones died at his cottage near Bracebridge. Born in what is now Cambridge, he attended the University of Waterloo, then took his ministerial training at Emmanuel College, today part of the University of Toronto. After his ordination, he served congregations at Morgan's Point on Lake Erie, at Tobermorey on Lake Huron and in Port Dalhousie, near St. Catharines. In 1943, he was asked to become chaplain of an industrial centre that had been set up east of Toronto to produce shells for World War II.
