      Mrs. Ida Hilliard, wife of Dr. W. L. Hilliard, Waterloo medical officer of health, died at her home, 39 Albert St.. Waterloo, Saturday. She was born at Fisher's Mills, near Hespeler, and was 74 years of age. Mrs. Hilliard had lived in Waterloo for the past 45 years, where she was an active member of First United Church, especially in the Women's Missionary Society, Wo- men's Association and W.C.T.U. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Wilfred, Waterloo, and Sgt. Graham Hilliard, R.C.M.C., Eng- land; four daughters, Miss Delight Hilliard, missionary in Indore, India, Mrs. W. T. Hutcheson, Wood- stock, Mrs. R. H. Turnbull, Gode- rich, and Mrs. Val Taylor, Water- loo; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Ellis, Hespeler, and Miss Margaret Clemens, Waterloo, and five grand- children. One son, Lloyd, prede- ceased her in 1911 at the age of 17 years.

      The funeral was held from her home on Tuesday, Rev. D. T. Forsyth officiating. Interment was made in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.
