- BLENDEMAN, Yvonne Fidelia Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Lisaard House in Cambridge on Monday, November 15, 2010, in her 83rd year. Loving sister of Juliet Balzer (her twin) of Kitchener, Shirley Levac (Roger) of Kingston and Ron Blendeman (Marilyn) of Brantford. Devoted and special aunt of Gerard, Rose, Paul and families. Dearly loved and missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents Rene and Christina, and by her brother-in-law George Balzer. Yvonne will be remembered by her special friends Joan Murphy and the Sisters of Notre Dame, as well as her dear friends and fellow members of the Legion of Mary. All will miss her sense of humour and her ability to tell a great story. Yvonne was very active all throughout her life. She was a member of the Legion of Mary for 50 years and was a past retreat convener. She was also an employee of the TD Bank for 33 years, a long time faithful member of St. Mary's RC Church and was especially fond of Fr. Lorford Keasey C.R. Yvonne's family will receive friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, November 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (Parish Prayers at 3:30 p.m. Thursday) Prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 9:20 a.m. followed by procession to St. Mary's RC Church, 56 Duke St. W., Kitchener, for Yvonne`s Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener followed by a reception at the funeral home. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
