Notes - HAUFSCHILD, Evelyn Annie - Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Post Inn Village Long Term Care Facility, Oakville in her 89th year. Evelyn had resided in Baden for many years. She was born in North Bay, a daughter of the late William and Annie (Leighton) Webster. Beloved wife of the late Norman August Haufschild who predeceased her June 25, 2005. Loving mother of Joan and husband Ron Phillips of Eganville and Bill and wife Lorna Haufschild of Burlington. Sadly missed by her granddaughters, Lynn and husband Glenn Anderson, Sandra and husband Harry Schuster, Jane and husband Geoff Good, and her seven great-grandchildren. Evelyn will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends in Baden and New Hamburg. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by sisters and brother, Elizabeth and husband Donald Anderson, Florence Webster, Helen and husband Graydon Hunter and William and wife Dorothy Webster. Evelyn was a very active member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg where she was a member of the U.C.W. Evelyn had enjoyed teaching at various Public Schools in Northern Ontario and Wilmot Township. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Nith Valley Chapter) and a past secretary of the Wilmot Agricultural Society. Evelyn was a gentle, gracious lady who always maintained a positive outlook on life. She will be sadly missed. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Zion United Church, New Hamburg where Pastor Robert Thaler will officiate. Spring interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Zion United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
