  Berta Beier Funeral service was held Monday in Kitchener for Berta Machel, of Pinehaven Nursing Home, Waterloo, formerly of 407 Mossom Place, Waterloo. She died November 9, 1986, at her home. She was 80. She was the mother of Artur Beier of Elmira, Dieter Bier, of Drayton, Amanda (Mrs. George Krebs) of Waterloo, and Ilse (Mrs. Maurice Allen), of Port Perry; sister of Fred Machel, of Waterloo, Blondine Beier, Chilliwack, British Columbia, Paula Jeske and Emma Beier, both of Germany, and Lydia Roseneau, of Kitchener; also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; predeceased by her husband, Friedrich Beier, two sons, one daughter in infancy, her parents, Gustov Machel and Justine Stemke, one sister and three brothers.
