  THOMSON, CATHARINE At her home, two miles east of Clyde, on Tuesday, June 6, 1911, in her 82nd year. She had been in fairly good health until yesterday, when she suffered a paralytic stroke. She was almost a lifelong resident of Puslinch Township, having come from Scotland in her childhood. She was a Presbyterian in religion. Only one sister survives, Mrs. Mary Flatt of Galt. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 1: 30 to Kirkwall Cemetery. -Information from the death certificate: Of lot 16, concession 10 in Beverly Township. Born in December 1830. A widow. Certified by Charles Flatt. -Information from the death certificate of Mary Flatt: Died in Beverly on Oct. 18, 1913, aged 72 years. A widow. Certified by Adam Flatt. -Information from the birth certificate of Charles Ellis Flatt: B. Nov. 11, 1881, son of John Flatt and Mary Thompson. -Siblings of Charles E. Flatt were Annie, Bessie Mabel and Ellen Melissa, all children of John Flatt and Mary Thompson. Therefore, it seems likely that her sister, Catherine, was single and not widowed.
