- GROFF, Howard S. - On Thursday, July 10, 1980, at K-W Hospital, Howard S. Groff, age 82 years, of 11 Bricker Ave., Waterloo.
He was born in Waterloo township. He founded Groff and Heating Ltd., Waterloo, and was president until 1970. He had been president of Twin City Plumbing and Heating, Waterloo, for the past 10 years. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church, Waterloo. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos Groff; husband of the late Florence Wright.
Father of William and Arthur, both of Waterloo and Robert of RR 1, Waterloo, "Betty" Florabell (Mrs. John Geddes) of M Taiwan; brother of Pearl (Mrs. Dan Bauman) of Elmira, Mrs. Mabel Cressman of Cambridge (H), Mrs. Nettie Shantz of Waterloo, Vera (Mrs. Lloyd Snider) of Atwood and Miss Rita Cambridge (H); also survived by 17 grandchildren.
Resting at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, noon Monday, then to Emmanuel United Church, Waterloo, for funeral services Monday, at 2 p.m., Rev. Donald Linkletter and Rev. Harold Wright officiating. Interment Parkview cemetery, Waterloo.
