    • NEW HAMBURG BOY REPORTED MISSING

Thirteen-Year-Old Son Of Mr. And Mrs. Michael Belinski Disappeared Seven Weeks Ago

A province wide search was instituted this afternoon by the Kitchener district of the provincial police for Paul Belinske, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Belinske of New Hamburg, who has been absent from his home for over seven weeks. Notice that the boy was missing was given to the Record this afternoon by the mother, Mrs. Annie Belinske.

The boy left his home, which is situated across from the station in New Hamburg early this summer to seek work on farms. He was engaged by Harry Hosetler on the New Hamburg-Kitchener Road. At the end of August he left the employ of Mr. Hostetler to attend school but has never reported at school or at home since. The second week he was missing he was seen by a friend of the family in Kitchener who was not aware that his parents were in ignorance of his where-abouts.

Paul Belinske is a little over four feer in height, has blue eyes, fair hair, and is well built. He was wearing a block coat and cap and kaki trousers. He was also in possession of a medium size bicycle.

The boy left home when his mother was sentenced to three months in the county jail for having beer in other than a private dwelling. The case will be remembered as the one in which the judgment of the magistrate hinged on the point of whether a woodshed a few feet from a house would be considered as a part of a private dwelling or not.

'BAWLED OUT' AT HOME BOY ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
Declares His Sister Told Him to Hang Himself-Used Knife
Special to The Star Stratford, April 14.-Paul Belinski, seventeen, stabbed himself in the chest with a jack-knife yesterday because he had been "bawled out" at home.
That is what he told Magistrate J. A. Makins in police court to-day when he pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted suicide, following his dismissal from the hospital where he has been confined last night under police guard.
"They all have a grouch against me at home and they are always bawling me out," the youth related to the court. "I got up yesterday morning and they started to bawl me out They said I was no good, and my sister said, 'You'd be better out of the world. You'd better hang yourself, but you're too cheap to buy the "They kept at me and I said I was going to leave home and would pay board some place else, but they would not let me."
Belinski told then of going to his room and of losing his temper. He picked up a revolver in the room, pointed it at his head and fired. The gun held only blank cartridges, how ever, the youth then took the jack- knife and plunged it into his chest on the right side.
Others in the house heard the revolver shot and the police were called. The youth in the meantime had left the place, and police searched the district for him, believing him wounded. The officers returned to the house where they learned that the boy had been taken to the hospital in the Interim. He was immediately put under guard.
In court to-day he was neatly dressed in a blue suit, with his shirt open at the neck. The dressing on his chest where the puncture wound had been inflicted was displayed.
Although only seventeen, Belinski has a police record. He has been convicted on several occasions on minor charges. Last year he served 20 days on a theft charge.
